Fierro uses the Interplanetary Naming Service (IPNS) under the hood. IPNS works like storage units. When you get one (aka a Record), you can change what is inside at anytime. Now, imagine that the other side has an unbreakable glass window; others can see your content, but only you have the key to change it.
How can I create dynamic NFTs?
Working on Ethereum is a variable expense. Updating IPFS URIs under certain conditions on chain is expensive in more ways than one. Using a traditional API like Fierro will allow you to operate under predictable conditions and take a load off the blockchain stack.
After you have your Record, you mint the contract with IPNS CIDs, we'll host the data, and you update the Record dynamically 100% off-chain.
How do I edit my website on IPFS?
You would need to share a brand new CID with all your customers. With IPNS, what you put in your Record are IPFS CIDs. You can make changes to your IPFS site whenever, then you just need to Publish the edit to your Record. Now there is no need to change links on any social media or other outlets.
